Chapter 3.2
Semipermeable - is a structure that allows only certain materials to pass through it.A cell membrane consists of lipid molecules, which move around. As the lipid molecules move tiny gaps form between them.H2O and other small molecules can enter or exit through these small gaps.
Diffusion - the movement of molecules from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration.Passive Transport - is the movement of molecules without using energy.Diffusion is an example of passive transport.
